The highly prized C63 AMG Black Series is the fourth generation of limited series Mercedes-Benz to be awarded their pinnacle of performance name, a track-focused road car that provides unsurpassed driver involvement.

It is understood that only 66 Black Series cars were produced in RHD.

Here, presented in the stealth Obsidian Black with Black cabin, this right-hand drive AMG External Carbon Pack, non-Aero Kit car has been specified to deliver uncompromised race engineering that delivers fearsome performance on the road to fulfill the intense driving experience demanded by the self-challenger. For the observant, the flared nostrils, flared arches and lack of rear seats merely hint at what changes lie beneath this rare and collectible performance car. The C63 AMG Black Series External Carbon Pack includes carbon-fibre lower, front splitter, mirrors, side skirts and rear diffuser, as well as the carbon boot lip spoiler reserved for the Performance Pack upgrades on lesser C63 models.

The engine and suspension overhaul alone has given the most potent of C-Class an addictive and intoxicating performance focus developed by the engineers at the German skunkworks, being one of the last to use the naturally aspirated 6.2 litre V8 with SLS pistons, conrods and crankshaft to deliver 510bhp and 457lbft of torque in a 4kg lighter unit and 7200rpm and uplift from 6700rpm from the ‘stock’ C63 AMG.  Re-engineered anti-roll bars and new coil-over struts combine for an involving but poised drivability, whilst a widened track by 40mm upfront and 79mm at the rear provide not only the aggressive stance visually but a sure footing that give a confidence that allows a full-blooded drive. In addition, a new Limited Slip Differential that locks under the fearsome acceleration and deceleration and spritely steering rack complete the dynamic upgrades. This car comes with black 19” 10-spoke wheels sporting Michelin Pilot Sport 4 255/35 ZR19 on the fronts and Michelin Super Sport 285/30 ZR19 on the rear, fitted in December 2021 800 miles ago.

The C63 AMG Black Series presents in great overall condition. Consistent with the mileage there are a few light stone chips to the front end but nothing to detract from the overall impression of this stealth-spec car.

Aimed specifically at their most passionate and performance-driving orientated clients, the C63 AMG Black Series has rightly gained a cult-following in car culture and an ever-increasing pleasure in possession for the car collector. Prices are consequently on the rise and the sixty or so right-hand drive examples, seldom on the market. This example with its stealth colour palate epitomises its growing legendary status and provides exhilarating aural character, sadly less and less found in more contemporary performance saloons, but one that leaves an indelible memory for the driver.
